Privacy notice

What we collect

  • From parents and guardians: name, email, mobile phone, city, and payment method. We do not store card or bank numbers; payments are made through Venmo, check, or a scholarship program.
  • About students: name, grade, most recent math course, an optional student email for class materials, and classwork such as homework and test results.
  • From the website: account details and the student, schedule, and enrollment information you submit. The family portal saves these records in our Supabase database and keeps a sign-in session in your browser. The public enrollment inquiry form also keeps an unfinished draft in your browser. We do not use advertising trackers.

How we use it

To run classes: placing students, sending class links and reminders, sharing homework and results, arranging tutoring, invoicing, and answering your questions. We do not sell information and we do not send marketing to lists.

Photos and recordings

During enrollment you choose whether GR Classes may use class photos that include your student, whether we should ask you first each time, or whether we may not photograph your student at all. You can change this choice at any time by text or email. Live classes are streamed on Zoom to enrolled students only; if a session is recorded for students who missed it, the recording is shared only with that course and deleted at the end of the school year.

Sharing

We share information only where needed to run classes: with a teacher assigned to your student's course, with a scholarship program you have chosen for invoicing, and with the tools we use to hold it (Supabase for accounts and portal records, Vercel for website hosting, our configured email provider for announcements, Zoom, and spreadsheets). We do not share student information with any other party.

Retention

Enrollment and contact details are kept for the current school year and the following one so that re-enrollment is simple, then deleted. Academic records are shared with you during the year; we do not keep them after the year ends unless you ask us to.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you or your student at any time. You can turn off class announcement emails in the portal’s My account page. You can also withdraw photo permission or ask us to stop texting reminders. We will act within a few days.
